About this project

Mayekoo organized volunteer and mechanized cleanup operations at Independence Square Beach in Osu, bringing together students and teachers from Lincoln Community School and community volunteers to help restore the shoreline. Across two cleanup days, approximately 76 volunteers contributed 292 hours and removed 11 tons of waste. Mayekoo also deployed its Beach Rake and tractor to support the volunteer effort and improve the efficiency of waste removal, combining community participation with mechanized coastal restoration.
