In schools specifically, the absence of safe water undermines everything else. A child who is sick from contaminated water cannot learn. A girl without access to private, clean sanitation facilities is more likely to miss school during her period. A teacher without handwashing access cannot model the hygiene habits that protect an entire classroom.

We help fund drilled wells and boreholes that bring safer, more reliable water closer to schools and communities that have gone too long without it. A single well can serve up to 500 people
Water access improvements
We support the practical access points people use every day — taps, standpipes, school water points, and shared community collection points that make safe water reachable rather than distant.
Sanitation and hygiene upgrades
We help improve the conditions around water access through practical sanitation upgrades — flushable toilet systems, handwashing stations, drainage improvements, and healthier facilities that protect dignity and daily wellbeing.
Water storage and distribution infrastructure
We help fund the systems that move water reliably from source to use — underground pipes, storage tanks, reservoirs, and connected distribution infrastructure that ensures access isn't dependent on a single point of failure.

ABOUT MAYEKOO
We don't just fund water projects. We help deliver them.
Mayekoo is a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity working with vetted local partners to fund and help execute clean water and WASH projects across Africa.
That means we don't stop at writing a check. We provide project management support, coordinate with local partners on execution, and stay involved through completion. When the well is drilled and the water flows, we document it — GPS coordinates, photos, and field reporting — so every donor knows exactly what their support helped build.
Mayekoo has already helped bring safe water to over 740 people across two completed well projects in Ghana. That number grows with every donor who joins us.
