Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Mayekoo is the public-facing name of Project Andiamo Foundation, a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity — EIN 99-4581185. Contributions are generally tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law, and you'll receive a donation receipt by email. Give Now →
Can I give monthly instead of one time?

Can I direct my gift to a specific cause?
Yes. You can give directly to Beach Cleanup, Clean Water, Education, or Period Poverty. Your gift is attributed to that cause; you can also choose to support the work wherever it's needed most. See our causes →
What payment methods do you accept?
Cards are accepted through our secure checkout. We also welcome checks payable to Project Andiamo Foundation, wire transfers, stock gifts, and Donor-Advised Fund grants. For non-card giving, email team@mayekoo.com and we'll help with the details. Gift logistics →
Is your checkout secure?
Yes. Card payments are handled securely through Stripe. Mayekoo does not store your full card details.
What's your refund policy?

How do I know my donation actually did anything?

Who actually delivers the work?
Mayekoo works with vetted local partners and stays involved from planning through delivery and reporting. Partners undergo legal, governance, sanctions, and compliance screening before funds move. Read Our Approach →
Does Mayekoo take a cut of my donation?

What is a project record?
Every Mayekoo project gets a public proof page with location and GPS information, before-and-after or field photos where available, key results, local partners, and publicly disclosed sponsors or funding partners. It's the receipt for the work itself. Explore the projects →
What happens if a project can't move forward?
Occasionally conditions change on the ground. When necessary, Mayekoo may redirect funds to closely aligned mission work consistent with charitable rules and our Disclosures, and we communicate material changes to supporters. Read our Disclosures →

How do I start a fundraiser?
Start by choosing a cause or project, setting a goal, personalizing your page, and sharing it with your network. Mayekoo handles the charitable payments, donation receipts, and the delivery and reporting of the work. Start a Fundraiser →
Where does the money go when I give to someone's fundraiser?
Your gift is a charitable contribution to Mayekoo attributed to the project or cause the fundraiser supports. It follows the same receipt, stewardship, and project-reporting standards as other Mayekoo donations. Give to a Fundraiser →
How do fundraiser updates work?
Fundraiser organizers and the Mayekoo team post progress updates as the work moves. Donors are notified by email so they can follow milestones, field progress, and completion without having to check back.

Volunteering
How do I volunteer with Mayekoo?
Most field opportunities are currently in Ghana, with Mayekoo projects also operating in Kenya. Do I need experience?
For most field roles, no. Cleanups and community activities include orientation and on-site guidance. Skills-based remote roles are matched to the experience you already have.
I don't live in Ghana — can I still help?
Yes. You can contribute your skills remotely from anywhere or explore opportunities to join us in the field. International volunteers arrange and cover their own travel, lodging, insurance, and visa requirements. See volunteer details →
