Two hundred girls is a specific number.
That matters because this fundraiser is meant to end in a real distribution and education effort, not just awareness.
UniMAC students are raising funds with Mayekoo to support 200 girls facing period poverty. The campaign focuses on the practical barriers that can make menstruation disruptive at school: not having reliable products, lacking accurate information, and dealing with stigma around a normal part of life.
The students are using their voices and networks to help close that gap for a defined group of girls.
Donors can follow a simple line from campaign to action: raise the resources, procure the appropriate menstrual support, organize the education and distribution with verified partners, and document who the program reached without compromising participants’ dignity.
A focused campaign can make a practical difference when the target is clear.
Supporting 200 girls means planning products, education, logistics and distribution around a defined group rather than treating period poverty as an abstract issue. It also gives student organizers a measurable responsibility to follow through.
The challenge
For some girls, the cost or availability of menstrual products can create a recurring problem every month.
Limited information and stigma can make it harder to ask for help. At school, that can translate into anxiety, distraction or absence when the support to manage a period is not readily available.
How the work happens
Donations support the verified menstrual-health package for the campaign’s 200-girl target.
Funds may support appropriate menstrual products, menstrual-health education materials and facilitation, distribution logistics, partner coordination and documentation.
The exact product mix should be based on the approved local delivery plan. The campaign should not promise reusable versus disposable products until that plan is confirmed.
