Help Girls Stay in School with Menstrual Kits and Education

Period poverty is rarely one missing item.

A girl may need a pad today, accurate information about her body, privacy at school, water and soap, a way to dispose of products, and the confidence to ask for help without being shamed. If any one of those pieces is missing, the school day can become harder than it should be.

That is why Mayekoo is building this campaign around a layered response rather than a one-time product drop.

We work with local partners to provide menstrual products and reusable-kit options, deliver practical menstrual-health education, strengthen local assembly and production where appropriate, and support the school conditions that make period dignity possible.

The purpose is not to make menstruation invisible. It is to make it manageable—so a normal biological process is less likely to interrupt a girl’s education, confidence or participation.

Every donation helps fund a piece of that system, with local partners doing the work closest to the girls being served.

When girls have reliable products, better information and a school environment where they can manage menstruation privately and safely, they are better positioned to attend consistently and participate with confidence.

The goal is not charity around a monthly emergency. It is a more dependable support system.

Girls can face several barriers at once: the recurring cost of menstrual products, limited menstrual-health information, stigma, inadequate privacy, and school facilities that are not designed around menstrual needs.

A distribution can address the immediate product gap, but if nothing changes around education, access and the school environment, the same problem can return the next month.

Donations help Mayekoo and vetted partners deliver a combination of menstrual-health support.

Depending on the project and partner, funds may support reusable or disposable menstrual products, local assembly and production, menstrual-health education, school distribution logistics, partner capacity, and verified school-based privacy or WASH improvements.

Mayekoo coordinates fundraising, partner vetting, delivery support, documentation and reporting so donors can see where support was used.
