But today, Tenashie stands at a crossroads. Without urgent investment in safe infrastructure and learning facilities, these students risk being left behind in an era where education and digital literacy are critical for survival.

The Challenges

Despite the resilience of teachers and students, major gaps hold back progress:

• Unsafe & Unsanitary Eating Conditions: The children currently eat in makeshift, unsafe areas without a proper canteen. This not only affects their health but also their dignity and ability to focus in class.

• No ICT Lab or Library: In a world driven by technology, Tenashie’s students lack even the most basic tools—computers, books, and a safe space to learn digital skills or enjoy reading. The result? A growing gap between them and peers in better-resourced schools.

• Abandoned Classroom Block: An entire building lies in disrepair—unused, unsafe, and wasted. With urgent renovation, it could immediately add safe learning spaces, reduce overcrowding, and protect children from the heat and rain.

These challenges don’t just hinder learning—they limit futures. Without safe spaces and modern resources, children are robbed of the chance to discover their potential.

• A functional canteen means no more meals taken in unsafe conditions. Children will eat with dignity, enjoy better nutrition, and have the energy to focus on their studies.

• An ICT lab and library will open doors to digital literacy, critical thinking, and a love of reading—skills that can break cycles of poverty and unlock opportunities for scholarships, jobs, and leadership roles.

• A renovated classroom block ensures children have safe, spacious, and comfortable places to learn, even during Accra’s heavy rains or scorching afternoons.

Solution

We are raising USD 38,000 to transform Tenashie A&B Primary School into a beacon of hope and progress:
