VTB Foundation is a charity organization dedicated to empowering single mothers, their children, and marginalized individuals by providing educational, financial, and psychological support. While our core mission focuses on uplifting single-parent families, we recognize that mental health is a fundamental issue affecting many in Ghana, and we are stepping up to help.

In partnership with Parenting Ghana, we are launching the Pantang Refurbishment Project, a life-changing initiative to restore Ward 9 at Pantang Psychiatric Hospital—one of the most vital yet underfunded mental health facilities in Ghana.

The Challenge

The Pantang Refurbishment Project is devoted to restoring dignity and improving care at Pantang Mental Health Facility, one of Ghana’s most vital yet severely underfunded psychiatric institutions. For years, Pantang has served as a lifeline for individuals battling mental health challenges, but its deteriorating infrastructure has created inhumane living conditions for some of the nation’s most vulnerable. This crisis demands urgent action. We are calling on you—our community—to help us raise the $100,000 required to transform Pantang Ward 9 into a place of healing and hope. Your support, whether in cash or in kind, will help refurbish Ward 9 of the facility, enhance treatment spaces, and restore dignity to those who deserve compassionate, quality care.

Pantang Psychiatric Hospital plays a crucial role in mental healthcare, but severe neglect and underfunding have left Ward 9 in inhumane conditions.

  • Patients struggle in overcrowded, unsafe, and unsanitary conditions.
  • Deteriorating walls, plumbing issues, and broken ceilings create health risks.
  • Flooded drainage systems and poor ventilation worsen the environment.

For many patients, this is their only place of refuge, but in its current state, Ward 9 is failing to provide the healing and dignity they deserve.

Mental health care should not be a privilege—it is a basic human right. Together, we can make a difference. Will you stand with us?

Why It Matters

A patient’s environment directly impacts their recovery. Studies show that a well-maintained, calming space improves mental health outcomes and encourages positive engagement in treatment. Right now, patients at Ward 9 are deprived of the fundamental resources they need to heal.

  • Your donation will give them a safe, dignified space to recover.
  • A refurbished ward means proper sanitation, functioning facilities, and better healthcare delivery.
  • Transforming Ward 9 will reduce stigma and elevate mental healthcare in Ghana.

The Solution:

Our goal is to raise $100,000 to completely renovate Ward 9 into a model mental health facility.

This transformation will include:

  • Revitalizing patient infrastructure – Renovating broken walls, ceilings, and treatment areas.
  • Upgrading essential systems – Installing new plumbing, electrical wiring, and HVAC systems.
  • Enhancing sanitation and safety – Rebuilding drainage systems to prevent flooding.
  • Creating a healing space – Landscaping and adding greenery for a tranquil therapeutic environment.

With your support, we will restore dignity, improve healthcare delivery, and create a true sanctuary for healing.

Transparency Promise

We pledge to uphold the highest standards of transparency and accountability. Every contribution will be diligently tracked, with regular updates on our progress and detailed reports on how your donations are making a difference.
