Donate to EGIGFA: Build Digital Skills & Cyber Awareness for Ghanaian Youth
EGIGFA (E-Governance and Internet Governance Foundation for Africa) is a registered non-profit based in Accra, Ghana. We’re on a mission to equip Ghana’s youth with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to navigate today’s digital world responsibly, securely, and proactively.
Through workshops, mentorship programs, community outreach, and the development of educational resources, EGIGFA works to close the digital knowledge divide in Ghana and create a new generation of digital leaders. Our focus areas include cybersecurity, digital literacy, ICT policy, and responsible internet use.
Our goal: Raise $5,000 to expand these vital youth training and awareness initiatives across Ghana.
The Challenges
In Ghana’s fast-evolving digital landscape, young people are at risk of being left behind.
-
Digital Illiteracy: Many students and young professionals lack foundational knowledge of internet governance, online privacy, and responsible tech use.
-
Cybersecurity Threats: Young people are increasingly vulnerable to online fraud, misinformation, and cyberbullying.
-
Lack of Resources: Schools and communities often lack access to cybersecurity training, mentorship, or up-to-date learning materials.
-
Limited Reach: EGIGFA’s current budget constraints prevent us from expanding our programs to underserved and rural regions.
If left unaddressed, these issues could widen the digital divide and leave thousands of young Ghanaians unprepared for modern economic, academic, and civic life.
Why It Matters
Empowering youth with cybersecurity and internet governance skills is not optional—it’s essential.
With your support, we can:
-
Reduce digital exploitation and promote safe, ethical online behavior
-
Foster digital leadership among Ghana’s youth
-
Advance gender inclusion by creating safe learning spaces for girls in tech
-
Strengthen national resilience by raising a digitally literate generation
Every young person trained by EGIGFA is a future policy influencer, ethical hacker, cybersecurity analyst, or tech advocate—building a smarter, safer Ghana for all.
