At BHA, we believe that the first years of learning lay the foundation for a lifetime. That’s why we emphasize play-based, emotionally supportive, and academically rigorous education. Our approach nurtures not only literacy and numeracy, but also creativity, compassion, and confidence.

Now, as demand for our programs rises, we are expanding to offer primary education—ensuring that children in our care can continue their learning journey in a safe, familiar, and inspiring space.

We are raising $50,000 to build additional classrooms, provide teaching materials, train our staff, and create a healthy, secure learning environment that supports our growth and our students’ success.

The Challenges

Bright Hills Academy is growing—but our infrastructure and resources are struggling to keep up with community needs.

• Overcrowded Classrooms: Our classrooms were designed for fewer students. With rising enrollment, teachers can’t provide the personalized attention children need to thrive.

• Lack of Space for Primary School: As we transition to a nursery-to-primary model, we urgently need new classroom space to accommodate this next phase.

• Insufficient Learning Materials: We lack enough age-appropriate books, teaching aids, and hands-on tools to support both our current curriculum and new primary-level offerings.

• Untrained Staff for Upper Grades: Our committed teachers need updated training to effectively teach expanded content to older children.

• Sanitation and Safety Gaps: Our facilities need improved toilets and hygiene infrastructure to ensure children can learn in healthful conditions.

If we don’t act now, we risk turning away families, straining our quality standards, and missing an opportunity to shape lifelong learning for more children in Muyumbu.
