Child Welfare and Development Project (CWADeP) is a community-based organization, established in 2012 in Sierra Leone, that works to improve the lives of vulnerable children. From those who have been orphaned or abandoned to those living in poverty, CWADeP has dedicated its mission to providing critical support such as education, healthcare, shelter, and psychosocial care.

We are seeking your support to raise $7,000 to help vulnerable children get the resources they need to return to school. Many of these children lack basic school supplies like uniforms, textbooks, and stationery, and without these essentials, their education is at risk.

The Challenges

Children in Sierra Leone face severe challenges, including lack of access to education, healthcare, and basic needs. With limited resources, many families are unable to provide the essentials their children need to succeed. For CWADeP, this means working against the odds to provide for children who otherwise wouldn’t have access to school or healthcare, and the lack of long-term funding makes it difficult to sustain these vital programs.

Why It Matters

Supporting vulnerable children means investing in their future. Access to education, healthcare, and psychosocial support gives them a chance to break the cycle of poverty and create a brighter future for themselves and their communities. Every dollar donated goes directly to helping these children return to school, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed. Your donation will directly support:

  • School supplies, uniforms, and textbooks
  • Scholarships to ensure children can stay in school
  • Healthcare services, including medical check-ups and vaccinations
  • Shelter, food, and clothing for children in extreme need
  • Psychosocial support to help children cope with trauma and emotional challenges

The Solution

With your help, CWADeP aims to meet the immediate educational needs of vulnerable children by providing:

  • School supplies: Purchase uniforms, textbooks, and stationery so children can return to school fully equipped.
  • Scholarships: Cover school fees for children who cannot afford them.
  • Healthcare services: Provide medical check-ups and vaccinations to ensure their well-being.
  • Basic needs: Offer shelter, food, and clothing to the most disadvantaged children.
  • Psychosocial care: Fund counseling services to help children overcome trauma.

Transparency Promise

We pledge to uphold the highest standards of transparency and accountability. Every contribution will be diligently tracked, with regular updates on our progress and detailed reports on how your donations are making a difference.
