    The Seniors' Choir, based at Kenema College of Professional Studies in Nairobi, Kenya, shines hope through music. We serve as a safe space for youths seeking to reform from crime, drug, and substance abuse, as well as those who aspire to learn music but cannot afford tuition fees. Our choir has successfully reached and helped over 100 youths in the slum areas. Operated entirely by youths, we need your help to continue our mission smoothly and extend our reach to more youths and children in need.

    The Challenges

    Our choir faces several significant challenges:

    • Lack of Practice Space: We do not have a dedicated practice hall for our choral rehearsals. We often practice outside and occasionally use a local church during harsh weather. However, due to restrictions and the nature of our choir, we cannot use the church full-time.
    • Event Hosting Difficulties: As a youth organization, we struggle to host choral events because of the fees required to book venues and other logistics.
    • Need for Costumes and Instruments: We lack the necessary costumes and musical instruments to perform professionally.
    • Educational Support: Many of our members are in primary and secondary schools and need learning materials.
