    In the heart of the Kangemi slum in Nairobi, Kenya, Cornerstone Primary School is a beacon of hope for children facing the harshest realities of poverty, hunger, and lack of access to education. Founded by Cornerstone Church and Pastor Derick, the school provides quality education to students of all religious backgrounds, many of whom are orphans or from struggling families with no social safety nets.

    Despite its life-changing impact, Cornerstone Primary School lacks the essential resources needed to provide a safe and effective learning environment. Students learn in dilapidated, unstable structures, many go barefoot, and there is no clean drinking water available at the school. Hunger is a daily struggle, making it nearly impossible for children to concentrate in class.

    This isn't just a school—it’s a lifeline. For these children, education is the only path out of poverty, but without basic necessities like food, safe classrooms, and clean water, that path remains filled with obstacles. With your help, we can change that.

    The Challenge

    • Unsafe Learning Conditions – The school’s structures are unstable and unsafe, making it difficult for students to focus on their education.
    • Lack of Clean Drinking Water – Without access to clean water, students face serious health risks and struggle through long school days dehydrated.
    • No Uniforms or Shoes – Most students come to school barefoot and lack even the most basic school uniforms.
    • Hunger & Malnutrition – Many children arrive at school on an empty stomach, making it difficult to learn.

    Without immediate intervention, these children risk losing the only opportunity they have for a brighter future.

    By improving Cornerstone Primary School, we are uplifting the entire Kangemi community. Education is the strongest tool to break the cycle of poverty, and by investing in these children today, we are helping create a future where they can become doctors, teachers, entrepreneurs, and leaders.

    Our short-term goals are to:

    • Raise $1,000 to provide essential uniforms, shoes, and sustain the school’s food program, ensuring that no child learns on an empty stomach.
    • Raise $10,000 for a new well, ensuring clean drinking water for the students and staff. This will include:
