    Join this Mayekoo campaign to help transform education and build a brighter future for the children of Vakpo, in the Volta Region of Ghana. The Vakpo E.P. Primary & Childcare Center faces critical challenges that hinder its mission to provide quality education and a safe learning environment for the children of Vakpo. With aging and dilapidated facilities, students often find themselves learning under trees, exposed to the harsh weather elements. Help us transform these spaces into secure, inspiring environments where children are sheltered from the harsh elements and motivated to achieve their fullest potential.

    Rural education systems across Ghana, like that of Vakpo, grapple with a myriad of challenges stemming from underfunding and neglect. The lack of social safety nets and essential resources in Vakpo exacerbates the cycle of poverty. The current state of their classrooms—with roofs that leak, walls that crumble, and windows and doors missing—compromises the very essence of learning and safety. Such conditions are unacceptable, leaving children and teachers vulnerable and hindering the educational process.
