    Maisha Yangu, which means "My Life" in Swahili, embodies our belief that our experiences and choices shape our life's trajectory. Founded in 2020, we are a community-based organization dedicated to empowering children and youth in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. Located in Kawangware, a low-income area with a population of about 295,500, we face immense challenges including high school dropout rates, drug abuse, crime, and hidden oppressions like gender-based violence. Despite these adversities, we strive to provide a safe space for children to develop and explore their abilities.

    We aim to raise $6,000 to support our critical programs and initiatives that make a real difference in the lives of children in Kawangware.
