iWRITE iLEAD is an educational organization based in Accra, Ghana, dedicated to enhancing the classroom experience for children in underserved community schools through its flagship project, Write2Lead. We aim to provide enough exercise books to support students' educational needs. Each academic term, we establish and maintain community book banks stocked with 2000 exercise books. We also organize annual townhall events to raise awareness about the lack of exercise books and to secure commitments from community stakeholders to sustain and maximize the project's impact.

The Challenges

One of our primary challenges is maintaining these book banks with the necessary 2000 exercise books every academic term. Additionally, we aim to scale this project to other communities equally in dire need of our support. The funds we raise will be used to establish one additional community book bank and to restock existing book banks.

Why It Matters

As teaching fellows in an underserved community school, we've witnessed the difficulties parents face in affording exercise books for their children. This lack of resources has led to school dropouts, a lack of engagement in class activities, and truancy. The situation is particularly troubling for female students who may seek support from romantic partners for academic assistance, ultimately resulting in teenage pregnancies.

By supporting iWRITE iLEAD and our Write2Lead project, you are helping to ensure that children in underserved communities have the necessary resources to succeed in their education. Your donation will directly impact students' lives by providing them with the exercise books they need to participate fully in their education, thereby increasing school enrollment and reducing dropout rates. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of these children and their communities.

The Solution

Our goal is to organize annual community townhall events to raise awareness about the lack of exercise books in underserved community schools, secure commitments from community stakeholders, and establish a community book bank. We aim to maintain these book banks with 2000 exercise books every academic term, ensuring they are distributed to students to enhance their classroom experience and increase school enrollment.

How the Funds Raised Will Be Used

  • Establish one additional community book bank.
  • Restock existing book banks with 2000 exercise books every academic term.

Transparency Promise

We pledge to uphold the highest standards of transparency and accountability. Every contribution will be diligently tracked, with regular updates on our progress and detailed reports on how your donations are making a difference.
