SENSEABLE GROUPS NPC is a dedicated social impact organization based in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. We focus on empowering unemployed women in our communities by providing them with essential skills to care for infants and toddlers. Our hands-on, practical training program covers all aspects of baby and toddler care, including development, stimulation, and sensory play, helping to raise a generation of strong and independent individuals. Our goal is to provide these women with the skills and confidence they need to secure employment as child-minders, thereby reducing the unemployment rate in our communities. We aim to raise $52,000 to cover a full year of training for 72 women.

The Challenges

To achieve our mission, we face significant financial challenges. The costs include providing transportation for the women to attend the training, resources for the hands-on training sessions, printing and binding manuals, food and drinks during training, facility usage fees, daily operational expenses, facilitator salaries, and marketing materials. Additionally, background checks are necessary to ensure the safety of the children these women will care for.

Why It Matters

This fundraiser is crucial to our mission of uplifting women and improving child care standards in South Africa. By raising $52,000, we can provide a year-long training program for 72 women. This not only offers them the opportunity for employment but also impacts 72 families, potentially feeding 432 mouths. Our vision doesn’t stop here; we aim to expand our program across Africa, improving child development standards continent-wide through our Train-the-Trainer Vision.

Solution

  • With your support, we will train these women to become proficient in baby and toddler care, ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent care and development for the next generation.
  • Our long-term vision includes a Train-the-Trainer program that will enable these women to become facilitators, spreading their knowledge and skills to even more women in rural communities across Africa.
  • This ripple effect will enhance early childhood development and provide employment opportunities, creating a brighter future for countless families.

Transparency Promise

We pledge to uphold the highest standards of transparency and accountability. Every contribution will be diligently tracked, with regular updates on our progress and detailed reports on how your donations are making a difference.
