We focus on tangible projects that improve real daily conditions through stronger access, healthier environments, and more dependable infrastructure. We are solution-agnostic — we choose the right intervention for the local context, not a standard approach applied everywhere. And we believe donors should be able to support water projects that are grounded, visible, and tied to everyday impact.

We help fund drilled wells and boreholes that bring safer, more reliable water closer to schools and communities that have gone too long without it.
Water access improvements
We support the practical access points people use every day, including taps, standpipes, school water points, and shared community collection points.
Sanitation and hygiene-related upgrades
We help improve the conditions around water access through practical sanitation upgrades such as flushable toilet systems, handwashing stations, drainage improvements, and healthier facilities for daily use.
Water storage and distribution infrastructure
We help fund the systems behind water access, including connected underground pipes, storage tanks, reservoirs, and other infrastructure that helps safe water move more reliably from source to use.

Before funding and supporting a water project, Mayekoo looks at need, local context, who will use the system, what kind of infrastructure is appropriate, who can help deliver it, and what support is needed after installation.
We evaluate:

- Maintenance and long-term use
Water access has to keep working after installation.
Where Mayekoo supports wells, boreholes, or water systems, delivery should be followed by stewardship. That may include monitoring performance, checking maintenance needs, or staying connected to the local partner, school, or community over time. A working system years later is the real proof.
